THE GALLERY WILL OPEN ON SUNDAY 9TH AUGUST BETWEEN 10AM AND 1PM

The Steamer Gallery & Studio is a 'bricks and mortar' gallery and studio in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight which opened in 2019. We are located just off the main shopping centre of Regent Street and a short walk from the railway station and bus station which connects to the Portsmouth ferry and hovercraft services at Ryde.

3 Carter Road, Shanklin.

We have a number of favourite paintings which are hung with our own work. This one is by Deryck Foster called 'The Bass Fisherman' painted in 1966 which was exhibited at the Society of Marine Artists. These paintings, and various pieces of collected objet d'art, provide comfortable surroundings for my studio work.

Another Deryck Foster painting of a yacht sailing off the Needles (dated 1963) above a screenprint of dazzle ships and a giclee print titled 'Sailcloth Colour Chart'.

A group of mixed prints with our largest dazzle ship screenprint on the far right featuring ships built by J Samuel White & Co. This includes Mohawk, Broke, Rifleman, Medina, Basilisk and Wolverine.

A corner of the gallery with some canvas prints and some treasured models.

Some of our framed lino prints. Most of our works are displayed in Nielsen classic black polished aluminium frames.
